First Annual Conference and new Head Office launch for sector software house

Chairman Porter cuts celebratory cake with Jonathan AirOn 20th May 2008 Donor Strategy hosted their first Annual Conference, marked by the official opening of their new head office. Guest speakers included Howard Lake and experts from Sayer Vincent, Factary and TLT Solicitors. Chairman Porter of North Somerset Council joined Managing Director, Jonathan Air, to cut the ribbon on a building destined to be a hub of technical innovation and excellence for the third sector. A quarter of Donor Strategy clients attended, as well as prospective users and consultants.

In the opening ceremony, Jonathan Air addressed the crowd: ‘This day marks a massive milestone in the growth of Donor Strategy. I was 19 when I started the company literally in my bedroom. After 14 years, I am delighted to be serving over 220 charities and employing 29 amazing people. Client happiness and being people focused will remain central as we continue to expand into this impressive new space.’

The day aimed to enhance the Donor Strategy community, deliver best practice insights and offer expert fundraising advice. Sherie Williams Ellen from Leukaemia Busters comments: ‘Having listened to Jonathan’s speech at the opening of the building, I feel that he has indeed established the customer focused enterprise he originally envisioned. I congratulate Donor Strategy on a very successful day and a bright future for the company.’

The event also showcased conference facilities, complete with the use of the team pool table, which will be available for all in the not-for-profit community to hire.
