Account Manager
Description:This is an exciting opportunity to join the Account Management team of a market leading, CRM, fundraising and alumni database supplier. This role will suit a target orientated person who is able to represent the needs of the clients internally whilst also identifying the opportunity for further business sales. We are looking for a natural and confident rapport builder, who is organised and has exceptional communication skills.
We operate exclusively in the not-for-profit sector and work with a diverse range of charity and educational organisations throughout the world.

Key accountabilities and tasks
Reacting to clients ensuring they are:
- Understood by Donor Strategy
- Getting the most from the products and services
- Using our support service appropriately and to their best advantage
- Having their needs met
- Seeing a positive effect of Donor Strategy on their own organisational objectives
- Investing correctly in the appropriate training
- Remaining loyal and realising the benefits of Donor Strategy
- Promote training events, workshops and services
- Pro-actively communicate with clients – especially low usage clients, visit sites as appropriate
- Facilitate existing business sales: quoting for and following up on extra licences, products, modules, services, third party tools etc.
- Attend monthly sales meeting and report back on Account Management activity
- Close sales to meet agreed targets
- And other tasks as required from time to time
Knowledge and skills
Essential:
- Ability to clearly identify clients’ needs
- Confident and good at dealing with people
- Focussed business approach
- Ability to convert opportunities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Negotiation
- Closing
- Experience in sales
- Experience within education or the third sector
- Familiarity with CRM databases
- IT or technical background
