Gift Aid budget news
In light of the recent budget announcement that the current Gift Aid rate would remain until 2011, it is now evident that Donor Strategy users will still need to ensure their system configuration is updated from the 6th April 2008. Donor Strategy clients will still need to claim 25p in the £1.00, rather than the current 28p Gift Aid rate. The Government has set up a top-up fund to ensure they meet their budget promise. They will add the extra 3p at their end of the claim process to cut down red tape for charities.
Please note the top-up fund is not available until the end of July. Any Gift Aid claims between April and July will be back-dated but will not receive any interest.
